Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Savant, Star Mountain Capital, Others

The latest senior moves, appointments, and personnel changes in North American wealth management.

Star Mountain Capital
Star Mountain Capital, a private investments firm with more than $4 billion in AuM, has promoted Curtis Glovier (main picture) to chief investment officer. He has been working with the firm for more than five years, most recently as strategic investment and portfolio officer.

Glovier brings more than 30 years of experience to his new role. He has held C-level executive positions and worked across private credit, secondaries, private equity, investment banking, consulting, and board leadership. 

Before joining Star Mountain, Glovier held several senior posts across Opus Bank and its subsidiary PENSCO Trust Company. Glovier joined the leadership team at Opus after leading Fortress Investment Group’s investment in the bank. He spent nearly 10 years at Fortress.

Savant Wealth Management
Savant Wealth Management, an RIA, has appointed Ahmed Hassanein as its chief financial officer.

Hassanein, with more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, is joining Savant from Los Angeles-based Signature Estate & Investment Advisors, where he has served as CFO for the past two years.

Previously in his career, Hassanein served in C-suite roles at private equity-backed firms such as Osaic (formerly Advisor Group) and Cetera Financial Group. 

Hassanein holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting and finance from the University of Maryland and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Marymount University. He will be a member-owner in Savant, which is majority owned by its employees.

The firm has about $30.6 billion in assets under management and $1.3 billion in assets under advisement (as of April 30, 2025). 

Raymond James
Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor John Hutchinson to its employee advisor channel.

Hutchinson Wealth Services of Raymond James is based in Walnut Creek, California, where Hutchinson is joined by client service associates Gina Jameson and Lisa Hutchinson. Hutchinson was previously affiliated with Stifel where he managed about $135 million in client assets.
