The latest senior moves, appointments, and personnel changes in the North American wealth management sector.

Capital, a wealth management firm serving ultra-high net
individuals, endowments and foundations, has appointed David
Larado, a former long-serving UBS senior figure, as a partner.
Larado spent 19 years at UBS serving in leadership roles in the advisor recruiting and UHNW Americas businesses. Most recently, he was head of advisor recruiting and retention; he also put together UBS’s Aspiring Legacy FA (ALFA) Program.
He is joining a firm with more than $23 billion in assets under supervision. With decades of history, Sapient became an RIA in 2023. It is majority owned by its employees and is supported by strategic and institutional capital partner Lee Equity Partners.
Sapient's team of wealth advisors includes Jeff Cohen, Tom Pence, and Jamie Knall. The CEO is James Rooney, who was previously CEO of Corient Capital and Freestone Capital Management. The chief financial officer, Liz Ewing, was CFO of consumer and wealth business at Goldman Sachs and worked at the US firm’s executive office and controllers’ division. The chief legal and compliance officer at Sapient is Max Rijkenberg. Sapient’s alternative investment platform is headed by Karim Khairallah.
As part of its offerings, Sapient offers family offices services.
Sapient is headquartered in Indianapolis, with offices in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York.

has welcomed a number of advisors in different US markets:
Haim Sander, who is joining the employee advisor channel, is arriving from Wells Fargo where he oversaw about $250 million in client assets. He operates as Sander Wealth Advisory of Raymond James, based in Fort Myers, Florida.
Garrett Coates, who is joining the employee advisor channel, was formerly with JP Morgan where he managed about $185 million in client assets. Coates is based in Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
Vincent “Vince” McPhail is joining the employee advisor channel in Spokane, Washington. McPhail is arriving from Wells Fargo, where he managed approximately $115 million in client assets. Operating as McPhail Wealth Management of Raymond James, he is joined by client service associate Lynsey Johnson.
