Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Raymond James, Stifel, Mesirow

The latest senior moves, appointments and personnel changes in North American wealth management.

Raymond James, Stifel
Raymond James Financial Services, the independent advisor channel of Raymond James, has added a five-person advisory team based in Venice, Florida. The team has joined from Stifel, where it managed $262 million in client assets. This is the second move by a former Stifel team to Raymond James in less than a week. (See an earlier example.)

The latest group to move across is led by spouses Jim Tate, managing partner and a Certified Financial Planner® and Kelley Tate, partner. It also includes their sons Jake Tate, financial advisor, and Alex Tate, client service associate, along with Imelda Locke, client service associate.

Operating as Green Fairways Wealth Management, the team provides financial planning services to business owners, healthcare professionals, retirees and pre-retirees.

RJFS allows affiliated teams to operate under their own branding while using the firm's technology and back-office infrastructure.

Mesirow
Mesirow, a financial services firm providing a range of services including wealth management, has appointed Linda K Myers to join its board of directors. Myers will become the firm's second independent external director.

The appointment forms part of a broader evolution of Mesirow's board and governance structure, the firm said.

Myers retired from law practice in 2022 after more than 30 years as a corporate partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she served on the firm's global executive management committee for over a decade. She was one of the original members of Kirkland's debt finance practice group, advising public and private companies, private equity firms and lending institutions on financing, restructuring and strategic transactions.

She also established Kirkland's diversity integration task force and was a founding member of its Women's Leadership Initiative.

Myers sits on the boards of Gibraltar Industries, LCI Industries, Marex Group plc and Eurowag, serving in roles across governance, audit, risk, remuneration, sustainability and capital allocation committees. She is a member of the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors and chairs the board of trustees of the National Philanthropic Trust.
