Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Raymond James, Pinnacle, Steward Partners

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the Americas.

Raymond James
The financial institutions arm of Raymond James has welcomed advisors Manny Jimenez and Jacob Wright to Pinnacle Asset Management, the wealth management arm of Pinnacle Financial Partners. Pinnacle is affiliated with Raymond James.

Arriving at the Pinnacle Mount Pleasant, South Carolina office, the advisors are joined by sales assistant Taylour Schutter. They previously managed about $186 million in client assets at Truist Investment Services.

Jimenez's financial services career spans over 37 years and includes positions at several institutions, including UBS and Merrill Lynch.

With over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, Wright has held various positions encompassing both banking and wealth management. Since 2013, he served as a financial advisor for BB&T, which later became Truist.

Pinnacle's footprint includes Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia.

Steward Partners
Steward Partners Global Advisory, part of Steward Partners, has brought Sunshine Private Wealth into its orbit, a business based in Sarasota, Florida.

The firm is led by Faiza Kedir. The team, formerly with Hightower, manages about $170 million in client assets and is Steward's third office in Florida, continuing the firm's planned expansion in that state, it said in a statement.

"We believe adding the investment advisory representative or `RIA-only’ option to our total offering will make Steward even more attractive to independent advisors like Faiza because it offers regulatory, compliance, and operational support. With Steward, advisors not only continue to own their book of business but also are equity partners in the overall enterprise,” Jeffrey Gonyo, managing director, senior divisional president, Southeast at Steward Partners, said.

Kedir began her career as a financial advisor when she joined Hightower, where she was director, business development, and financial advisor. Prior to that, she spent 22 years with Bank of America where she managed a retail bank branch, trained managers, and assisted clients in meeting their financial needs and goals. She holds a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia and in business administration and management from Florida SouthWestern State College. Kedir has also earned the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation.

Steward Partners, founded in 2013, is responsible for about $30 billion in client assets as of August 2023.
