growth via organic and acquisition routes.
David Scarpello has joined as chief financial officer, replacing Chuck Pinson-Rose, who will continue to support the firm on special projects as the managing director, finance and investment. Most recently, Scarpello served as the CFO of Pathstone. Pinson-Rose, CFA®, has been with Perigon since 2015.
Brian McGunnigle has been named as director of operations. Previously with the Mather Group, McGunnigle brings 25 years of industry experience. He spent the prior 16 years leading operations teams, technology evaluations and implementations, and M&A integrations. McGunnigle will report to chief investment officer Rafia Hasan.
The business has also appointed Debra Dunham, director of transitions and integrations. Dunham most recently led and managed integrations for The Colony Group, a wealth management firm based in Boston.
Perigon has been operating in six markets since December 2021. In September 2022, the firm announced a merger with PM Wealth Management, and formed a strategic alliance with Prager Metis CPAs, a tax advisory firm. In November 2022, Perigon announced that it had acquired Nauset Wealth Management, and expanded its Atlanta office.
In January 2024, Constellation Wealth Capital took a strategic stake in Perigon, continuing a trend of private equity firms investing into the wealth management sector.
