Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Partners Capital, Associated Banc-Corp, Others

The latest moves, appointments and personnel moves in the North American wealth management industry.

Partners Capital
Partners Capital has appointed former Cambridge Associates figure Zach Gaucher as a senior principal to lead its venture capital investing efforts. He will be based in the firm’s New York office.

Gaucher brings over a decade of experience in private markets research and portfolio management, most recently as a managing director at Cambridge Associates. While at Cambridge, he was a member of the US Venture Capital Research team and specialized in venture capital and growth equity investment strategies.

In his new role, Gaucher will lead the firm’s VC investment research, working with John Beil, partner and head of private equity and real estate, the firm’s network of managers, and client investment teams to help clients identify attractive opportunities as they build their portfolios toward their investment objectives.

Prior to rejoining Cambridge Associates in 2023, Gaucher was at Phillips Exeter Academy, where he was an investment generalist working on asset allocation strategy, manager selection, and identifying market trends across asset classes. He began his career at Cambridge Associates in the firm’s US Venture Capital Research Group.

Associated Banc-Corp
Associated Banc-Corp has appointed Lisa Buetow as director of private banking, major metro markets.

Buetow, based in Minneapolis, will be responsible for Minnesota, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison, Wisconsin; she will report to Jayne Hladio, executive vice president and president, Associated Bank Private Wealth.

Buetow brings more than 25 years of experience across investment banking, corporate banking, and private wealth. Most recently, she served as managing director and private wealth banking manager at Wells Fargo. Prior to that, Buetow served in senior leadership roles at Abbot Downing (as Wells Fargo’s private banking and UHNW arm was called before a rebrand).
