Orion, which provides
wealthtech solutions for fiduciary advisors, has appointed Ron
Pruitt (pictured) as president of Orion Wealth Management.
Pruitt has more than 25 years of experience in wealth management. He has served as senior vice president of Nasdaq Analytics – formed from the acquisition of eVestment and Solovis – where he provided investment analytics and market intelligence to asset managers, asset owners and institutional investment consultants. Pruitt was also president and chief executive of Solovis, a Nasdaq company delivering portfolio management software and services.
In other roles, Pruitt co-founded and served as chief investment officer for Placemark Investments and was an executive at Envestnet after its acquisition.
Pruitt’s academic achievements include a BS in econometrics from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, he served as an officer in the US Army for five years.
