Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Nomura AM, Sanctuary, Raymond James, Others

The latest senior moves, appointments and personnel changes in North American wealth management.

Nomura Asset Management
Nomura Asset Management has appointed Andrew “Andy” Goldberg as chief investment strategist of the firm’s international arm. This is a newly formed role.

Goldberg spent more than two decades at JP Morgan Asset Management and JP Morgan Private Bank. One of his roles for JP Morgan Private Bank was “global head of passions advisory.” Most recently, he was head of collectible car lending at Sotheby's Financial Services. 

"His proven ability to create compelling, client-focused insight and his deep relationships across the wealth management industry will be instrumental as we execute our growth strategy,” Shawn Lytle, CEO of Nomura Asset Management International, said. 

Nomura Asset Management, part of Japan’s Nomura, has about $860 billion in assets under management.

Sanctuary Wealth
Sanctuary Wealth has brought Iron North Private Wealth and its founders, CEO Brad Desormeaux and president Abigail Allsup into its embrace.

The former UBS team was responsible for $350 million in total client assets and will establish its office in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, the first Sanctuary partner firm in the state.

Desormeaux has 18 years of experience in wealth management. He joined UBS in 2008 and most recently served as a senior vice president and wealth management financial advisors. Before working in financial services, he served in for 12 years in the US Air Force. Allsup has more than 12 years of experience in financial services. She joined UBS in 2015 and most recently served as a senior wealth strategy associate. Also joining Iron North is wealth associate Shelly Johnson, who brings 37 years of industry experience.

Raymond James
Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor Alister Chick to its independent advisor channel. 

Prior to this, Chick worked at Edward Jones where he managed approximately $122 million in client assets. Operating as Pine & Coast Wealth Advisors, based in Shallotte, North Carolina, he provides personalized financial strategies for individuals, families, business owners, retirees and those experiencing sudden wealth. He is joined by senior client service associate Kimberly Rogers and office administrator Stephanie Batson.

AdvizorStack
AdvizorStack, a wealthtech platform for RIAs, has announced that Kimberly Papedis, president and co-founder of Fusion Financial Partners, has joined its advisory board. 

Papedis brings more than two decades of experience designing and building independent RIAs.

“Kimberly has spent her entire career doing what very few people in this industry can do, namely seeing the business of advising from both sides of the table,” Paul DeMaio, CEO and managing partner of AdvizorStack, said.
