The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in North American wealth management.

MAI
MAI Capital Management, an RIA, has appointed Kathleen Alcorn as chief marketing officer. She brings more than two decades of financial services marketing experience to MAI’s leadership team. Alcorn has served as CMO at Focus Financial Partners and Nasdaq Corporate Solutions.

Raymond James  
Raymond James has welcomed 11 financial advisors with Southwest Wealth Strategies to its independent advisor channel. 

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, with additional offices in Las Vegas, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Bozeman, Montana, the group provides personalized financial planning and investment management services. They have joined from Equitable Advisors, where they managed more than $850 million in client assets.

The SWS team is led by managing partner John Arnold, and senior partners Ray Dimuzio, Mark Asher, Chris Lanier, Ben Miles, and Nick Obie.

Provident Bank
New Jersey-based Provident Bank has appointed Annamaria Vitelli in the newly-created role of executive vice president, chief growth officer of Beacon Trust, a full-service wealth management firm and wholly owned subsidiary of Provident Bank. 

As a member of the management team at Beacon Trust, Vitelli will collaborate with Valerie Murray, president of Beacon Trust and chief wealth management officer of Provident Bank.

Most recently, Vitelli served as executive vice president, head of Hawthorn at PNC Private Bank, where she led the ultra-high net worth business segment, overseeing a team of more than 200 professionals. Before that, she served in senior leadership roles at PNC in wealth strategy and client experience, and earlier in her career, she worked in senior wealth management and trust positions at Vanguard, The Private Family Office, and as an estates and tax attorney.

Vitelli holds a JD and an LLM in taxation; both earned cum laude from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. 

Commonwealth Financial Network
Commonwealth Financial Network, a national RIA founded nearly 40 years ago, has added Vahanian & Associates Financial Planning to its independent advisor network. 

The team, based in Saratoga Springs, New York, oversees nearly $230 million in client assets and has joined from Osaic. The team is led by Jeffrey Vahanian, president, CEO, and financial advisor; Bonnie Boyce, vice president, chief financial officer, and chief compliance officer; and Cameron Corsi, vice president, chief strategy officer, and wealth advisor. It also includes Lisa Cast, director of operations and client experience; Cory Larmour, director of financial planning; and Taryn Sheehan, director of client services.
