Leon
Capital Group, a family office, has appointed Travis Pittman
as managing partner for strategic investments, a new platform.
The platform will provide bespoke, data-driven insights that address the complexities of the family office ecosystem, and support private equity sponsors and capital market players through the investment lifecycle.
Prior to joining Leon Capital Group, Pittman co-founded and led the transaction advisory services practice at Portage Point Partners, a middle-market business advisory, interim management, and investment banking firm. He subsequently launched and led its private equity coverage strategy; he was also a member of its executive leadership team. In all, Pitman has 25 years’ experience in building teams and service line offerings.
In late June this year, FWR interviewed Fernando De Leon, founder and CEO of Leon Capital Group, about the group’s strategy. In August 2024, Leon Capital said it was collaborating with iCapital, the New York-headquartered tech platform that has been one of the most prominent names opening access to alternative investments such as private equity.
