The latest personnel changes, appointments and moves in North American wealth management.

Lazard Asset Management
Lazard Asset Management has appointed Alex Kozhemiakin as managing director and co-head of emerging market debt.

Based in New York, Kozhemiakin will partner with Denise Simon to lead the firm’s emerging market debt platform, and will report to Arnaud Brillois, chair of its fixed income management group.

Prior to this, Kozhemiakin was head of emerging market debt at Macquarie Asset Management. His career also includes senior roles at Standish, Putnam Investments, and Citicorp.

“Lazard’s EMD platform is one of the most established and respected in the industry, and Alex’s arrival adds further depth and breadth to our capabilities,” said Eric Van Nostrand, global head of markets and chief economist. “His leadership and experience come at a time when attractive valuations, improving fundamentals, and favorable market dynamics are creating compelling opportunities for investors.”

Cetera
Cetera has welcomed financial advisor Waheed Siddiqui and his firm, Prestige Global Private Wealth, to Avantax, a community of tax-focused financial professionals within the Cetera network.

Prestige Global Private Wealth is based in Rockville, Maryland. Prior to this, Siddiqui was at Citigroup Global Markets, where he served as vice president, wealth management and senior wealth advisor, overseeing approximately $216 million in assets under administration.

Siddiqui brings more than 20 years’ industry experience to his new role, Cetera said in a statement yesterday.

Avantax, which is a community within Cetera Wealth Services, delivers wealth management solutions for financial professionals, tax professionals and CPA firms.

As of September 30, 2025, Cetera firms managed about $625 billion in assets under administration and $284 billion in assets under management.
