Strategic Wealth, has appointed Justin Starnes as its chief
growth officer to lead the firm’s advisor partnerships and
mergers and acquisitions.
Starnes began his career working in alternative investments at Goldman Sachs. Most recently, he was the founder and CEO of Antrim Bay & Co, providing consulting services and M&A guidance to financial advisors, in addition to capital sourcing for private investments. Preceding Antrim Bay, Starnes was senior vice president of business development and distribution at Carson Group. Prior to that, he led the national sales and national accounts divisions of asset manager Swan Global Investments.
In his new role, Starnes will be responsible for identifying advisors who fit JSW’s ethos of providing fiduciary advice to help clients live their best financial lives in a manner that suits both advisor and client.
This hire follows JSW’s addition of a head of advisory to the team earlier this year – Jason Sangekar, CFA, the former head of advisory for Magnus and chief operating officer of an institutional brokerage firm.

Wealth has welcomed 18Forty8 Private Wealth, another former
Merrill Lynch firm to join Sanctuary’s ranks.
Formerly known as Heinrichs, Behling & Associates, the firm is led by its founders and managing partners Terry Heinrichs and Ryan Behling. With $400 million in client assets under advisement and based in Madison, Wisconsin, 18Forty8 Private Wealth is Sanctuary's first team in the state.
Heinrichs began his career in financial services at Merrill in 1994. His professional designations include Certified Financial Planner™, Certified Investment Management Analyst®, and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor™.
Like his partner, Behling spent his entire career prior to launching 18Forty8 Private Wealth at Merrill Lynch, having joined the firm as an intern in 2005. He has earned the Certified Financial Planner™, Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM, Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor™, and Sports & Entertainment Accredited Wealth Manager Advisor, as well as being an NFL Players Association Registered Player Financial Advisor.
Joining Heinrichs and Behling at 18Forty8 Private Wealth will be their former Merrill Lynch team mates, registered senior client associate Regina McGinn and client associate Rebecca Reller.
