Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Iress, Seddons

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.
Iress
Iress, a financial
technology firm, has appointed John Parker as business
development head for UK wealth management.
Parker previously held similar positions at iPipeline, Aviva, and CTC. Most recently, he ran his own financial advice firm and is registered by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority.
“A key part of our strategic intent for the UK Wealth business is to build even closer relationships with the financial advice industry. We know the people who provide advice understand the challenges and opportunities better than anyone. So who better to hire than a financial advisor?” Iress’ managing director, UK Wealth, Alex Hore, said. “John is a natural fit and is an important part of the changes we’re making at Iress. He has a strong understanding of financial technologies which, combined with his experience as an IFA, means he’s ideally placed to support our clients, influence product design and drive growth for Iress.”
Iress provides software and services for trading and market data, financial advice, investment management, mortgages, superannuation, life and pensions and data intelligence.
Seddons
London law firm Seddons has welcomed Kate
Ryan as a partner in the Family team at a time when its Family
practice is expanding rapidly to meet increasing client demand,
the firm said in a statement.
Previously a partner at IBB Law for seven years, Ryan (pictured) has nearly 20 years’ experience in family law.
She specialises in divorce and financial settlement agreements, and is experienced across the spectrum of family law. Ryan advises clients on protecting wealth and prenuptial agreements, making arrangements for their children, including cases with cross jurisdictional elements, and trust of land act claims relating to cohabiting parties. As well as helping clients in controlling and abusive relationships, Ryan is also an avid supporter of coaching as a means of dealing with relationship or family breakdown. She trained and qualified as a mediator in 2013.
“With Kate’s arrival, we have added three new partners in the last six months, and look forward to adding Kate’s knowledge, experience, and client following to the team,” Neil Russell, partner and head of Family at Seddons, said.
