The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the Americas.

Edward Jones 
The financial services firm, Edward Jones, has appointed financial advisor Kamar Plunkett.

Plunkett’s focus will be on providing tailored financial strategies based on his clients’ goals, including investment management and planning. 

With more than 14 years’ industry experience providing wealth management and retirement planning strategies, Plunkett will continue to serve as a trusted resource for clients in New York City. Previously, he worked at Fidelity for over four years where he specialized in asset management.

Plunkett will be joined by branch office administrator, Lori Sullivan and supported by Edward Jones' home office professionals and technology.

Bear Creek Asset Management
Bear Creek Asset Management, which serves high net worth individuals and other clients, has appointed Jonathan Stern as managing director.

Stern was previously an MD at Fundamental Advisors located in New York.

Besides his position at Bear Creek, Stern will co-lead the development and growth of a discretionary private investment platform.

Stern has more than 15 years of experience building business lines across a variety of sectors including housing, healthcare, energy, infrastructure, and municipal credit. He has accumulated expertise in distressed and performing credit, liquid securities and derivatives trading, and joint venture partnerships. 

As of December 31, 2022, Bear Creek had about $6.1 billion of assets under management on a discretionary basis. The business was formed in 2005 and is located in Denver, Colorado.
