The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in North American wealth management.

Carson Group
has hired four senior figures to join its team, adding to areas
such as private client services, advisor development, estate
planning and mergers and acquisitions.
The joiners are: Heather Zack, senior vice president, private client services, and solutions strategist (previously director of HNW clients at Commonwealth Financial Network); Lisa VanArsdale, vice president, advisor development (formerly of LPL Financial); David Haughton, VP, estate planning (formerly of Wealth.com); and Liam Heffernan, VP, mergers and acquisitions sales (formerly of SageView Advisory Group).
Carson has more than $48 billion in AuM.

recently welcomed financial advisors Martin “Marty” Sloane and
Thomas “Tom” Sloane to the firm’s employee advisor channel.
The duo arrived from UBS Financial Services where they managed approximately $320 million in client assets. They are joined by senior registered client service associate Deborah Vincent. The team operates as Sloane Square Wealth Management of Raymond James, based in Stuart, Florida. They provide financial guidance to business owners, families, individuals, family offices and those in or nearing retirement.
Marty, father to Tom, brings more than 41 years of financial services industry experience to his role as senior vice president of investments. In addition to his professional tenure at UBS Financial Services, he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the United States Naval Academy and the certified financial planner designation.
Tom began his career at UBS Financial Services in 2023 and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the United States Naval Academy.
The firm also took on board four financial advisors in Depew, New York, in its independent advisor channel: David R Burgio Sr, Michael Malaney, David M Burgio Jr and Mary M McCafferty. They operate under the brand of Custom Wealth Strategies.
The team, which was formerly at Commonwealth Financial Network, where it managed approximately $315 million in client assets, specializes in serving high net worth clients, including executives, physicians, business owners and individuals living in or preparing for retirement.
