The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in North American wealth management.
Baird
Baird has added Ken
Murray as a director and financial advisor to its wealth
management office in Fairfax, Virginia.
Murray will be supported by associate financial advisor Paul Brick and client assistant Rebecca Fakhar.
The Fairfax office opened in January 2024. The other offices in the state are Alexandria, Lynchburg, and Richmond.
Murray has joined from Edelman Financial Engines, where he managed $320 million in assets. He has over two decades of industry experience and in the past has worked for Bank of America and Morgan Stanley.
Alto
Alto, a self-directed IRA
platform that covers private markets, has appointed Evan Deussing
as its sales head, and Ari Koban as vice president of enterprise
partnerships.
Deussing was previously partner and managing director, head of distribution at PPB Capital Partners, where he was responsible for expanding the firm’s presence across the private wealth and RIA channels.
Koban’s background includes leadership roles across asset management, fintech and national politics, most recently leading Enterprise RIA business development at Vise AI, a fintech startup that simplifies client portfolio management and administration for financial advisors.
Alto acts as the IRA custodian for over $1.9 billion in assets with 30,000 self-directed IRA investors and supports more than 2,500 issuers who have raised capital on the platform.
