Mellon Wealth Management has appointed Christopher Brown as
market president in Northern California.
In the new role, Brown is responsible for implementing investment and wealth management solutions for the firm’s high and ultra-high net worth clients including individuals, families, business owners and family offices. Brown, who is based in the company’s San Francisco and Menlo Park offices, reports to Jim Barnyak, president, West Region.
Brown joined the firm after spending six years at JP Morgan Private Bank where he was market team lead, overseeing relationships with clients across a full range of wealth management services. Prior to that firm, he was investment officer and head of the West Coast office for investment advisory firm Veritable, where he also served as a portfolio manager from 2005 to 2008. From 2009 to 2011, Brown was a consultant to major developers, property owners, lenders and investors for Webcor. Brown is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Advisors, a registered investment advisor, has appointed Kyle
Miller, as MD, mergers and acquisitions.
Miller is EP Wealth Advisors’ first executive-level M&A hire. The firm has conducted more than 30 integrations since 2017 in concert with minority investor Wealth Partners Capital Group (WPCG).
Spending the first five years of his career in wealth management and private banking roles covering investment, planning, estate, trust and banking, Miller was involved in the M&A insurance sector area for eight years. During his time at Acrisure, he was the deal lead on more than 165 acquisitions.
Miller, who will be based in Chicago, will initially partner with the team at WPCG to identify and pursue deal opportunities for EP.
In addition to Miller, EP recently appointed project management veteran Shelly Wright as director of the firm’s project management office. Most recently, she ran her own consultancy.
The firm also expanded Alan Berkshire’s role to chief administrative officer. Berkshire, who joined EP full time as general counsel in March 2022 following a consulting stint with the firm, adds operations, client service and partnership integration to his leadership, along with legal, compliance, and project management. Berkshire’s executive experience in wealth and asset management includes serving as global chief investment officer, investments, for Columbia Threadneedle Investments.
