Arthur
J Gallagher & Co, which provides insurance brokerage,
risk management, and consulting services, has named Steve Coco as
its new global Human Resource & Compensation Consulting managing
director, effective January 1, 2024.
Coco (pictured), who joined Gallagher as part of the Buck acquisition in April 2023, is the chief revenue officer at Buck, where he is responsible for revenue growth including Buck sales, account management, marketing, client strategy, and technology, innovation and thought leadership.
Gallagher’s Human Resource & Compensation Consulting business line provides expertise across all industries in total rewards, human resources strategy, workforce engagement, retained executive search, employee communication, multinational benefits. and data and analytics. These teams help employers attract top talent, engage their people, develop transformational leaders and reward success to optimize organizational wellbeing.

Scott Hamilton, Gallagher’s current global managing director of Human Resources & Compensation Consulting at Gallagher, will become chairman of the business line, focusing on growth strategies, labor force trends, and mergers and acquisitions.

Indefi, a strategy
advisor for asset managers, has appointed Jim McCaughan as US
practice leader. He is the former chief executive of Principal
Asset Management.
McCaughan will guide Indefi’s North American strategy.
Before Principal Asset Management, McCaughan was CEO of Credit Suisse Asset Management Americas and president and COO of Oppenheimer Capital. He also worked at UBS for more than 20 years.

estate planning platform, has appointed Brian Hamburger as its
second strategic advisor. He will press the case for adopting and
making more use of estate planning solutions.
Hamburger is the founder, president and chief executive officer of MarketCounsel, and has spent the past 20 years calling for solutions that address the challenges advisors face in a fast-growing and highly regulated industry.
Hamburger is admitted to the bars of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia, as well as the US Supreme Court. He has worked with the Certified Financial Planner Board and various industry boards to shape industry standards. A member of the FINRA Dispute Resolution Board, Hamburger has also arbitrated for the New York Stock Exchange. He graduated from Quinnipiac College with a dual major in economics and financial management and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.
