The latest senior moves in the North American wealth management sector.

SVB Private 
SVB Private, the US group, has named Dave Kasouf as head of capital markets.

Kasouf will lead SVB Private’s efforts in the development and execution of capital markets and trading solutions for the innovation economy including structured solutions, concierge trading, and IPOs. In this newly created role, he will report to Jane Leung. He will be based in New York City.

Kasouf has more than a decade of experience in private markets with Forge, First New York, and Bell Harbor Capital. He most recently served as a managing director with Caplight Markets, SVB Private said.

Argent Mineral Management
Argent Mineral Management, a subsidiary of Argent Financial Group, has appointed Blake Butler as mineral manager.   

Butler will focus on mineral wealth, contract negotiation, oil and gas accounting and asset evaluation. He will report to David Luke, Argent Mineral Management president. 

Butler brings more than 11 years of experience to the role. Most recently he served as petroleum landman for Twin Creek Resources, where he researched property owners and mineral owners for oil and gas producers, prepared research reports and communicated directly with clients on project needs.  

With oil and gas being important sources of wealth in parts of the US, Argent’s business taps into a rising cohort of high net worth individuals who work in the space. 

Alex Brown, Raymond James
Alex Brown, a division of Raymond James, has welcomed advisor and senior institutional consultant Christy Campbell in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, according to Robert Quick, a regional executive for Alex Brown.

Campbell was formerly affiliated with Merrill Lynch, where she managed approximately $112 million in client assets. She will join the established team at Thrive Advisory Group, which consists of client advisors Will Taylor, CFP® and W Colin Walker, as well as client service associates Keaton Riddle, Foster Gaylor and Vincent LaManna. 

The group, which has offices in Winston-Salem, St Petersburg and Palm Beach, Florida, provides financial and investment planning services for a variety of clients, including business owners, individuals, executives, family offices and more.

A 21-year veteran of the financial services industry, Campbell has extensive experience with employer-sponsored retirement plans. She previously held positions at BB&T and Citigroup Global Markets before her 16-year tenure with Merrill Lynch. Campbell earned her bachelor of arts degree from Greensboro College. She is a Certified Financial PlannerTM and holds the Certified 401(k) Professional® designation.

CIBC
CIBC has added three senior professionals to its US private wealth team:

Phil J Treiber, managing director and private banker in Milwaukee, Wisconsin;
Nahid Aminzai, managing director, market lead and senior private banking advisor in Newport Beach, California; and 
Paul Hojnicki, CFA, senior vice president and relationship manager in Denver, Colorado.

Treiber is a private banker with over 15 years of industry experience.  Prior to joining the firm, he served as a private banker at BMO Harris. 

Aminzai, who has over 30 years of industry experience, is joining as a private banking market manager. She will be responsible for fostering new and existing relationships in Orange County, San Diego and Beverly Hills. Previously, Aminzai served as a senior vice president and wealth advisor in the California region at Comerica Bank. 

With over 20 years of industry experience as a relationship manager, Hojnicki will provide tailored wealth management solutions for individuals, families, foundations and endowments. Previously, Hojnicki served as an investment strategist at Wells Fargo Private Bank in Denver.
