The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in the North American wealth management industry.

Ameriprise
Financial, has announced that a team of 16 wealth sector
professionals at The Atlantic Group, has joined its branch
channel, based in Boca Raton, Florida. The team managed more
than $1.6 billion in client assets, previously working at
Oppenheimer & Co.
The practice is led by founding partners Andrew Lerner and Logan Shalmi.
Ameriprise regional vice president Michael Rearden, complex director Daniel Landrau and branch manager Drew Granauro also support the team locally.
The firm said about 1,700 financial advisors have joined it in the past five years. Its Ameriprise Ultimate Advisor Partnership creates a structure enabling advisors to speed up growth.

A former advisor at Commonwealth Financial Network, Kirk
Huismann, has joined the independent advisor channel of Raymond James.
Huismann, who is based in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, is joined by
office manager and client service associate Cindy Kennedy and
client service associates Cindy Smith and Michael
Pugliese. He operates as Friedline Financial.
At Commonwealth, Huismann managed more than $144 million of assets. He started his financial services career in 2012 at Mariner Wealth Advisors and started building his book of business in 2022 at Commonwealth Financial Network. His professional experience is backed by a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA from Rockhurst University alongside the Certified Public Accountant designation.
