Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? ­– Compliance Risk Concepts, Raymond James

The latest senior moves, appointments and personnel changes in the North American wealth management sector.

Raymond James has welcomed the wealth advisory team of Security Wealth Management, located at Security Savings Bank, to its Financial Institutions Division (FID). 

Based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the group includes financial advisors Jon Gadberry, Brad Jarabek and Sean Powell. They are joined by registered representative Tim Houska and client service manager Joshua Reid. The group, which manages about $165 million in client assets, was previously affiliated with LPL Financial.

Separately, Raymond James has welcomed Jacob Schmidt, Daniel Schmidt, and Matthew Schmidt, to its employee advisor channel in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The team arrives from Baird, where it managed over $290 million in client assets, and is joined by senior client service associate Jennifer Taylor and client service associate Kristina Stuller.

The team serves business owners, families and individuals, pre-retirees and retirees.

Jacob Schmidt brings over 43 years of financial services industry experience to his role as senior vice president of investments. He began his career in 1981 at Merrill Lynch and most recently served as an advisor at Baird for over 18 years. 

Daniel Schmidt, who began his career at Baird, brings more than 13 years of financial services industry experience to his role as vice president of investments. 

Matthew Schmidt is a certified financial planner with more than nine years’ experience in the financial services industry.

Compliance Risk Concepts
Compliance Risk Concepts, an enterprise risk and compliance firm within the financial services industry, has appointed Robert Taffet in the newly-created role head of the operations, technology and business execution practice. 

Taffet has more than 25 years' experience of working in the financial services industry. 

Prior to this, Taffet was a founding partner of Taffet Consulting, a financial services management consulting and technology solutions organization focused on the front-to-back office business transformation of the capital markets industry. In addition, he was a principal at Infosys within its financial services consulting practice.
