Howard Capital Management
Howard
Capital Management, an RIA, has launched an exchange-traded
fund called the HCM Hedged Equity ETF, which is listed in New
York. This is an actively managed ETF that seeks long-term
capital appreciation while actively managing downside risk across
changing market environments.
The ETF invests at least 80 per cent of its net assets in large-cap equity securities represented in the S&P 500® Index (replicated through the Solactive US Large Cap Index) and the Nasdaq-100 Index® (replicated through the Solactive United States Technology 100 Index).
Systematic Options Overlay: Approximately 80 per cent of the fund’s equity exposure is managed using a laddered put spread collar options strategy designed to help manage downside risk while maintaining market exposure. The remaining portion of the portfolio is actively managed using HCM-BuyLine®, the firm's proprietary quantitative investment model.
Founded in 1999, Howard Capital Management managed $8.9 billion in assets as of May 31. It serves private clients, brokers, and broker-dealers through separately managed portfolios, retirement tools, self-directed brokerage accounts, and proprietary mutual funds.
