What's New In Investments, Funds? - GMO

The latest in funds and investments across North America.

US-based Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo, aka GMO, an investment firm, has partnered with UK-listed St James’s Place to manage a $6.2 billion portfolio. Under the agreement, GMO will manage 80 per cent of the Balanced Managed Strategy using a value-orientated asset allocation approach that is exclusive to SJP’s clients.

Separately, GMO is making several of its US mutual funds available to financial intermediaries through platform arrangements, tapping into the private client market. Offerings available include GMO’s Systematic Global Macro Major Markets and Resources funds, and its Climate Change fund that was successfully launched in 2017.

“GMO is committed to offering the same types of innovative investment solutions for US private wealth clients that we offer to our institutional partner,” the firm said.

GMO was founded in 1977 and run as a private partnership; its offerings include equity, fixed income, multi-asset class and alternative strategies.
