Investments, a major allocator to private equity with $10.3
billion in assets under management, said late last week that it
has changed its CAZ Strategic Opportunities fund to an “interval
fund structure,” enabling investors to enter with lower
minimums.
The fund has also surpassed $500 million in assets, Houston, Texas-headquartered CAZ Investments said in a statement.
By converting to an interval fund, investors can put money in for as little as $2,500, [make] daily subscriptions with no subscription document required, and have quarterly liquidity with no performance fee. The fund is open to accredited and non-accredited investors.
The fund is available on custodial platforms such as Schwab, Fidelity, CAIS and Pershing.
"We are very pleased with the response from the wealth management industry. Our shift to an interval fund should now allow them to include the fund in portfolio models and retirement plans,” Christopher Zook, founder and chief investment officer of CAZ Investments, said.
Founded in 2001, CAZ said it has one of the top 120 allocators to private equity worldwide. Its network comprises more than 8,300 investors across the US and 41 countries in total.
