Seattle, WA-headquartered wealth manager Moss Adams Wealth Advisors has added John de Carvalho as its new chief investment officer.

Seattle, WA-headquartered wealth manager Moss Adams Wealth Advisors has added John de Carvalho as its new chief investment officer.

With more than 10 years of capital markets experience, de Carvalho will be responsible for overseeing more than $1.6 billion in managed assets. He will work with clients across the nation from the firm’s Seattle office.

“As we continue to grow and our clients’ needs become more sophisticated, it has become necessary to have a chief investment officer who can drive the future of our expanding asset portfolios,” said chief executive Rebecca Pomering.

Most recently, de Carvalho served as director of portfolio management and research at Rainier Group Investment Advisory. He was previously a senior analyst at Symetra Financial, where he developed the firm's treasury department, created its cash flow forecasting model and variance reporting, and executed short-term investments and analyses.
