Wells Fargo Adds Ex-PwC Partner To Board

Wells Fargo has added a retired partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers to its board, due to start at the beginning of next year and join the audit and examination committee.
Howard Richardson was at PwC for over three decades in a range of leadership, audit and business advisory positions. He also served as lead engagement partner for several of the firm's key financial services clients, according to John Stumpf, chairman and chief executive of Wells Fargo. In this capacity he worked with bank holding companies, investment managers, broker-dealers and insurance firms. He retired from PwC in 2011.
Richardson brings the number of directors on Wells Fargo's board to 16. The bank cited his experience in accounting, regulation, complex operating environments and risk management as strengths he would bring to the board.
