Wellington-Altus Creates New Chief Experience Officer Post, Targets Big AuA Growth
The group, which wants to bring a large rise in assets under administration, has created this new position. Late last year, a private equity firm invested in the firm, following an earlier funding round in 2021.
Canada’s Wellington-Altus has created the new post of chief experience officer, to be held by Steph Condra.
Condra has held several leadership positions and worked in the sector for more than two decades. She was most recently head, National Strategy Office at BMO Private Wealth, where she guided the integration of its private banking and full-service brokerage (Nesbitt Burns) businesses. She is also a CFA Society volunteer and a member of the Women in Capital Markets Wealth Management Working Group.
In her new role, Condra will oversee the advanced wealth planning, advisor engagement, advisor onboarding, marketing, and regional management teams.
"The Canadian wealth management landscape is due for disruption,” Condra said.
Wellington-Altus intends to double its assets under management to C$50 billion ($37.3 billion) from its current C$25 billion figure. The latest move follows its receiving C$40 million in a second-round growth equity investment from Salt Lake City-based private equity firm The Cynosure Group in December 2023. Cynosure previously invested in Wellington-Altus in 2021.
