Webster Private Bank Expands Investment Team

Webster Private Bank has added two senior portfolio managers to its expanding investment team.

Webster Private Bank has added two senior portfolio managers to its expanding investment team.

Edward Wilson has joined in Stamford, CT, from Wells Fargo, where he was senior vice president of investments. He has more than 25 years of investment experience, focused on serving wealthy families.

Robert Maglio, meanwhile, has rejoined Webster from People’s United Bank, where he was a senior portfolio manager in the wealth management unit.

Both Wilson and Maglio will report to Yves Cochez, chief investment strategist for Webster Private Bank.

Webster Private Bank, a division of Webster Bank, provides banking and lending, investment management, fiduciary, depository, and planning advisory services to individuals, families, and charitable entities with at least $1 million in investable assets.

Last month, the firm recruited Jennifer Charlebois from First Republic Trust Company as senior vice president and senior fiduciary services officer, based in Stamford. While 2014 has so far been a very busy year at Webster Private Bank, the firm has also seen some departures. People's United Bank, for example, recently added a team of five from Webster Private Bank to its wealth management group in Hartford.
