Wealthspire Advisors Launches Charity Platform

The new offering focuses on education, advocacy, partnership and sponsorship.
Wealthspire Advisors, an independent RIA with $29.3 billion in AuM, has launched ASPIRE by Wealthspire Advisors, a platform that galvanizes its charitable giving efforts.
The platform focuses on education, advocacy, partnership and sponsorship. For example, with education, ASPIRE by Wealthspire aims to guide people's financial decisions, and shed light on significant causes that affect communities, industries and the wider world.
"Philanthropy has always been a foundational part of Wealthspire Advisors' identity and culture, reflecting our commitment to supporting our communities locally, regionally, and nationally," Mike LaMena, CEO of Wealthspire Advisors, said.
In the past 12 months, Wealthspire has contributed to over 40 local and national charities throughout the country, raising nearly $500,000.
Causes include Advisers Give Back (AGB is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that connects low- and moderate-income households with a financial planner); Feeding America (a nonprofit network of 200 food banks leading the fight against hunger); Net Positive Consortium (unites wealth management firms that are committed to creating lasting change for their clients, employees, communities, and the planet); and Wealthspire Advisors CFP® Certification Diversity Scholarship.
On a separate and related point, the firm named Greg Friedman as recipient of the Inaugural John Wolff Award. The award was named posthumously for a highly regarded Wealthspire colleague and philanthropist. Friedman serves on the board of The Marine Mammal Center and is a champion for organizations that seek to protect and preserve the world’s natural resources.
