Wealth Management, Advisor Coalition Expands

The coalition of North American firms, called the Net Positive Consortium in Wealth Management, founded in October 2024, is building an alliance of firms across the US. It exists to build best practice and drive positive change in the industry.
The Net Positive Consortium in Wealth Management, aka NPC, a coalition of financial advisory and wealth management firms, has added five member firms.
The joiners are Bogart Wealth, First Pacific Financial, Guiding Wealth, Meira Wealth, and Uplifting Capital, NPC said in a statement yesterday.
In addition, FP Transitions, which provides valuation, equity management and succession planning services to independent advisory firms, has joined the NPC as its first strategic partner.
“The NPC pillars of net-positivity speak to our own mission: empower advisors to elevate the next-generation and create sustainable businesses that will last," Scott Leak, director of business development at FP Transitions, said.
“We advocate for building teams that are diverse and inclusive; encourage the development of workforce mentorship and education; and push owners to continually improve what they offer their clients,” Leak said.
Launched in October 2024, NPC’s founding member firms include Mariner, Modera Wealth Management, Wealthspire Advisors, Halbert Hargrove, Perigon Wealth, Crestwood Advisors, Focus, Brighton Jones, Wescott Financial Advisory Group, among others.
The NPC brings together like-minded firms committed to fostering change in five areas: Workforce, Community, Planet, Client, and Industry.
In the “Workforce” area, for example, this includes supporting team wellbeing, inclusive cultures, and professional development; the “Planet” area relates to a focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility; “Client” relates to advancing financial literacy, charitable giving and values-based planning; “Community” hinges around local impact and charitable involvement, and “Industry” covers areas such as mentorship, thought leadership and collaboration.
The NPC offers an inventory assessment, curated best practices, and the executive brief “Unlocking Our True Potential”, along with webinars and other resources designed to foster long-term impact and growth.
Member firms Mariner, Wealthspire, and Modera have been invited to speak at the upcoming Goldman Sachs RIA Professional Investor Forum, where they will share insights on building purpose-driven, sustainable wealth management firms.
“This recognition from Goldman Sachs underscores the power of collective action and the value that Net Positive member firms bring to the entire profession,” Grant Rawdin, CEO of Wescott Financial Advisory Group and co-chair of the Consortium, said.
