Wealth Firm Shifts From PNC Investments To LPL Financial

The firm continues to acquire new business from wealth managers setting up on their own.

Pollock, Rocks and Litwin, a team of five financial advisors together overseeing $225 million of client brokerage and advisory assets have joined LPL Financial, aligning with Gladstone Advisors and LPL’s broker-dealer and corporate registered advisor platforms.

The members are Steve Pollock, Jane Rocks, Robert Litwin, Tom Becker and Michael Schneider.

Prior to this, the team was at PNC Investments. The move continues a number of shifts to the LPL Financial orbit by wealth managers this year. (See an example here and here.)

The new advisors contribute two new offices to Gladstone’s footprint. Becker is based in Cape May, New Jersey, and Pollock, Rocks and Litwin share an office in Marlton, New Jersey. Schneider joins the Bedminster, New Jersey, headquarters of Gladstone.

Pollock, Rocks and Litwin operate independent practices, but by sharing an office they share in the support of clients.

The advisors wanted to become independent and benefit from the size and resources that LPL Financial affords, and from the infrastructure and support of Gladstone. Such moves are part of a wider industry trend of advisors leaving large organizations to become more independent, while partnering with businesses such as LPL Financial and others for their platforms and backup.

The Gladstone Advisors business, meanwhile, was founded by Robert Hudson, and the firm joined LPL Financial in 2012.
