Swiss wealth manager Vontobel has appointed Andrew Jackson as head of its fixed income boutique, taking effect on 22 January. He will be taking over from Simon Lue-Fong, who is retiring after a 30-year investment career.

Jackson has more than 20 years of experience as a fixed income investor, managing assets across the entire range of the fixed income, including corporate bonds, high yield and private credit. Formerly head of fixed income at Credit Suisse Asset Management, Jackson has also held other key positions, including head of fixed income and multi asset at Federated Hermes International and chief investment officer at Cairn Capital, a specialised fixed income boutique.

“He brings a wealth of expertise across the full spectrum of fixed income sub-asset classes and will help drive the boutique forward in the new investment landscape,” Christel Rendu de Lint, Vontobel’s co-CEO and head of investments, said.

With SFr18 billion ($20.9 billion) in assets under management, Vontobel’s fixed income boutique was founded more than 30 years ago and has grown to 39 investment professionals based in Zurich, New York, Miami and Hong Kong. Its offer includes corporate, emerging markets, global and Swiss bonds as well as tailored investment solutions in Swiss and global bonds. The boutique is one of Vontobel’s two fixed income specialists, providing investors with a variety of actively managed fixed income investment strategies.
