New Office
Vistra Sets Up Shop In Toronto

At the outset, the operation will focus on alternative investments.
Vistra, which provides
international incorporations, trust, fiduciary, private office,
and fund administration services, has opened an office in Toronto
as part of its North American expansion.
Initially, the office will focus on its alternative investments
business, the firm said in a statement late last week.
The move came after Vistra’s alternative investments division was awarded a fund administration mandate from a private equity firm – undisclosed - headquartered in Toronto.
“This new local presence will strengthen our ability to provide our high calibre expertise to these clients and better support global clients interested in Canada,” Martin Crawford, Vistra chief executive, said.
Over the past 12 months, Vistra has acquired businesses in countries such as Germany and Sweden, and in parts of the Middle East. It has made a string of purchases over recent years, acquiring market coverage and scale where bulk helps firms cope with rising compliance costs and complexity.
