The middle-market debt and equity investment specialist has made a senior hire in New York.

Victory Park Capital, a restructuring and investments business, has appointed Zhengyuan Lu as a principal within its investment team.

Lu was previously senior vice president and head of capital markets and treasury at OnDeck, where he led all capital markets and fund raising activities. He brings more than 20 years of industry experience, having also served as managing director and head of the asset financing group of Gleacher & Company.

Based in New York City, Lu will be responsible for sourcing, analyzing, executing and management of direct private debt and equity investments within the specialty finance sector.

The firm, which is headquartered in Chicago, targets fundamentally sound businesses in need of liquidity and/or capital structure transformation and often take a leadership role in the restructuring process.
