Valentine Capital Appoints New Chief Compliance Officer

Valentine Capital Asset Management, the registered investment advisor based in the San Francisco Bay Area, has named Reynold Samoranos as chief compliance officer, effective this month.
Samoranos joins Valentine from Hammerman Capital Management, a hedge fund firm, where he served as both chief financial officer and chief compliance officer. Before that, he was the founding principal of RKB Investment Group, the real estate investment firm, and was CFO and senior vice president at the San Francisco investment firm Newport Pacific Management.
In his new role, Reynold Samoranos reports directly to John Valentine, the founder and president. He takes over from John Boylan who passed away in September.
Valentine Capital Asset Management has been operating for more than 25 years, providing asset and wealth management services to individuals and families in the US. It presently has some $600 million in assets under management.
