Union Bank adds law-specialist wealth advisor

Miller to help bolster San Francisco bank's lawyer-and-law-firm wealth team. Union Bank of California has hired former Wachovia advisor Justin Miller to work in a group within its private-banking unit that provides specialized wealth-management services to attorneys and law firms.

"We are excited to welcome Justin to our San Francisco Private Bank team to help manage the Legal Specialty Group," says the group's head David Jochim. "Justin's extensive legal and wealth-management experience will be a great asset to our team."
Miller managed Wachovia Wealth Management's Legal Specialty Group for in the Charlotte N.C.-based bank's U.S. Southeast and West Coast regions. Before that, he was an outside counsel to several big banks, which he advised on the administration of complex trusts and estates.
Wachovia has been part of San Francisco-based Wells Fargo since late in 2008.
Union Bank -- a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tokyo-based the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi since November 2008 -- has 335 branches in California, Oregon and Washington, and two international offices. -FWR
