US-Based Private Banking Software Firm Makes Senior Appointment

Financial Software Systems, the US-based provider of treasury and private banking software, has appointed Steven Mills as its senior vice president for global sales and marketing.

Mr Mills will be working from firm’s headquarters offices in Horsham, Pennsylvania, FSS said in a statement. He joins the company from Misys, where he was most recently the treasury and capital markets business development manager for the Americas region.

“Steve's experiences with Misys, and the growth of its software business, are directly applicable to Financial Software Systems. Our Spectrum Treasury System, MarginTrac collateralized foreign exchange trading system, and array of web portals are recognized industry-leading applications,” said Gerald Thurston, president at Financial Software Systems.

In other recent development, in September last year Financial Services Systems acquired Spot Systems, the San Francisco-based FX management software firm. Financial terms were not disclosed.
