US Wealth Manager Switches To New Platform

The move represents yet another joiner to the platform of LPL Financial.
Founders Investment Services, an operation offered at Founders Federal Credit Union, has moved from Cetera Advisor Networks to join the broker dealer and RIA platform of LPL Financial. LPL has brought over scores of wealth management firms to its platform in recent weeks and months. To see a recent move, with coverage of its results and performance, click here.
Advisors at Founders IS served about $300 million of client brokerage and advisory assets, LPL said in a statement. (That figure is based on prior business and represents assets that would have been held under LPL Financial's custody, rather than by third-party custodians.)
Based in Lancaster, South Carolina, the credit union was founded in 1950 to serve the employees of Spring Mills. Today, the credit union operates 29 branches in North and South Carolina and serves more than 200,000 members. Six advisors offer investment and wealth management services at all locations.
Advisors include C David Tolson III, managing director and wealth advisor, and financial consultants Keith Benton, CFP®, Zachary Boerger, Cody Bowers, Jake Carr and Austin Terry. The team offers retirement and investment services with a focus on financial planning.
“Founders Federal Credit Union prides itself on being innovative and a leader in the service and support we offer to our members. We want the investment program to reflect that as well. LPL’s technology has digitized solutions to help us manage the business and deliver a quality service experience to members. And their size and scale make it possible for us to access resources and solutions that can set us apart in the market and also add more value to our members,” Tolson said.
