The new office has welcomed a new team to serve the clients of the Battle Creek, Michigan community.

Philadelphia-headquartered Janney Montgomery Scott (Janney), a wealth management, financial services, and investment banking firm, has opened a new branch office in Battle Creek, Michigan. Battle Creek is Janney’s first branch office in Michigan.

Joining Janney’s new operation is the Buikema, Oursler, Morse Financial Team, which handles nearly $200 million in client assets. The team, led by Matthew Buikema, Michael Oursler, and Travis Morse, was formerly affiliated with Raymond James. Accompanying the financial advisors are Renee Giles, and Angela Kenney, were also formerly associated with Raymond James.

Buikema, senior vice president and branch manager, has over 35 years of experience as a financial services professional, with areas of expertise in investment management and insurance planning. 

Oursler, senior vice president and assistant branch manager, has more than 20 years of experience as a financial advisor. His areas of expertise include estate planning, retirement planning, insurance planning, and asset management. 

Morse, associate vice president and assistant branch manager, has nearly 15 years of experience as a financial services professional with expertise in retirement income planning, investment management and estate planning. 

Giles, senior registered private client associate, has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years.  Kenney, private client associate, has over 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
