US Trust Hires Wealth Advisors In West, East

US Trust has signed on five wealth management executives. Three are joining the firm’s West Division.

The division has hired approximately 70 professionals across all roles this year, Thong Nguyen, head of the division, told Family Wealth Report. The West Division, one of four at the firm, has approximately 650-700 professionals in close to 30 locations.

Nguyen said next year hiring would “continue at the same momentum.”

Chad Reddy, most recently of City National, has been hired as Northern California regional trust executive in San Francisco.

Portfolio manager Barbara Bagley has joined in Century City, California from Beverly Hills-based boutique Lewis Capital Management.

Cornelius Mercea has come on board as a portfolio manager in Tucson, Arizona from JP Morgan Private Wealth Management.

In New York City Judy Slotkin joins as a private wealth management executive. She was most recently chief risk officer for Everspan Financial Guaranty.

Charles "Hill" Ewald has come on board as a private client consultant in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was most recently chairman of VNBTrust following two decades as a private client manager in Bank of America's private bank.

US Trust said earlier this year it plans to hire more than 200 private bankers and financial advisors, increasing its professional staff by almost 10 per cent.

US Trust, the private banking subsidiary of Bank of America, oversees $308 billion in client assets. It has 140 offices in 32 states.
