The firm has hired three new members to its management team, and hopes it can continue its expansion since it opened in 2001.
Cumberland Trust, a Nashville-based independent corporate trustee, has appointed three new members to its executive management team.
Runcie Clements has joined as executive vice president, general counsel. Michelle Diamond has joined as executive VP, director of business development and regional markets, and Jennifer Karrels Menzie has joined as executive VP, director of strategic planning and assistant general counsel, the firm said in a statement.
Clements joined the firm in 2002. He will be responsible for leading the legal group of attorneys, compliance officers and specialists. He will also advise the fiduciary legal department, the fiduciary compliance department, the administration department and the special assets administration group.
Diamond joined Cumberland Trust in 2001, and will be responsible for overseeing the development team and its new trust opportunities. She was trust officer at First Tennessee, where she provided account and administration support to families in the areas of personal trust, employee benefits and investment management.
Menzie joined the firm in 2012. She will be responsible for leading and managing the external and internal strategic initiatives for Cumberland Trust and oversees Cumberland’s long-range planning goals. Menzie was previously VP at Thompson & Associates, where she was working in the area of charitable estate planning.
“Runcie, Michelle and Jennie have been integral in making Cumberland Trust, a premier national trust services partner for advisors,” said Joseph Presley, chairman, president and chief executive. “Our firm specializes in people - that’s not just taking care of each unique individual client and situation, but enlisting natural leaders like Runcie, Michelle and Jennie, to strategically guide the company.
