US Registered Investment Advisor Names Investment Chief

The wealth management firm is a relative youngster, having been established in 2018 and now covering five states from 18 offices.

Apollon Wealth Management, a US registered investment advisor, has appointed Eric Sterner as its chief investment officer. He will also be a member of the executive team, reporting directly to founding partner and chief executive, Michael Dolberg.

Sterner brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to his new role, including most recently as vice president of PGIM’s Strategic Investment Research Group’s portfolio construction team. In this role, he focused on the discretionary management of multi-asset investment solutions across more than $65 billion assets under management.

Prior to his role on PGIM’s Strategic Investment Research Group, Sterner was a chief investment officer for the Prudential Customer Solutions RIA where he oversaw its digital and hybrid investment advisory managed account platform. He also worked in alternative investment solutions, managed proprietary and third-party investment advisory platforms, and launched an advisory offering that was nominated as “Product of the Year” by Money Management Institute.

Founded in Charleston, South Carolina in 2018, the business was created by Michael Dolberg and Robert Gorman and has a team of more than 50 people, including 30 advisors. It operates from 18 offices in five states of the US.
