Bessemer Trust has made a senior investments-related hire from JP Morgan.

Bessemer Trust, the multi-family office, has recruited Holly MacDonald in New York as a managing director and chief investment strategist.

MacDonald is responsible for macro-economic research and financial market analysis, as well as asset allocation and strategy recommendations for client portfolios. She will report to Rebecca Patterson, managing director and chief investment officer.

Bessemer confirmed that this is a new role at the firm.

MacDonald was previously a managing director in the emerging markets and global currency strategy groups at JP Morgan, and before that worked in the firm's fixed income and currencies groups in New York and Sao Paulo.
