US Lawmakers Approve New OECD-Compliant Tax Treaty With Malta

The US Senate has approved a new tax treaty with Malta, based on the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Model Tax Convention, according to The Times (of Malta).

The Mediterranean jurisdiction, which is a member of the European Union, has signed a number of international tax agreements.

Jersey and Malta signed a Double Taxation Agreement, for example, in January this year.
