US Investment Firm Fisher Buys Large Land Plot - Report

Fisher Investments, an investment firm in California specialising in serving wealthy investors, has acquired a 120-acre property in Camas, fuelling speculation it will bring its corporate headquarters and more than 1,000 jobs to Southwest Washington, according to the Portland Business Journal.

Woodside,
California, manages $43 billion in assets for 22,000 investors and employs more than 1,000 people at its three locations, in Woodside,
San Mateo,
California, and in

Vancouver,
Washington.

It operates through two units, Fisher Investments Institutional Group and Fisher Investments Private Client Group, investing in capital markets, securities, bonds and cash.

Ken Fisher, who founded the company in 1979 as a sole proprietorship, was quoted by the newspaper as saying that the company hasn't made any decisions regarding

Washington beyond the purchase of the site.

Mr Fisher is a well-known figure in the investment scene, an author of several books and regular columnist for the

US magazine Forbes.
