Eaton Vance Investment Counsel, a private client asset manager based in Boston, says it is looking to acquire high net worth boutiques in 2005, according to its chief executive Westy Saltonstall.

Last year EVIC bought Scudder Private Investment Counsel’s Boston office from Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management. This added an additional $2.5 billion in managed assets.

The Investment Counsel has a minimum account size of $1 million and 14 investment counselors.
