US Financial Services Firm To Replace Departing Senior VP

The outgoing senior vice president and chief human resources officer will retire after more than 40 years' of service.

Prudential Financial has appointed Lucien Alzjari as senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective from June 5.

Alzjari will replace Sharon Taylor, who has informed the company of her decision to retire after more than 40 years' of service, the firm said in a statement yesterday.

He joins from A.P. Moller-Maersk, the transportation and energy company. He has 30 years’ experience as a senior global human resources leader.

We will miss Sharon’s strong work ethic, valuable counsel and leadership. I’m grateful for her lasting contributions to Prudential and to the communities we serve,” said John Strangfeld, chairman and chief executive officer. “The leadership of human resources will be in good hands, however, thanks in large part to Sharon’s guidance in identifying her successor. Lucien Alziari will help ensure that talent remains a strategic differentiator for Prudential.”
