US Bank PC Aggregation Service Goes Wireless

Commerce Bank has enabled its private banking customers to access consolidated account information on wireless devices such as Blackberries and other personal digital assistants for the first time.

The service is an extension of the US bank’s existing Virtual Private Bank, which is a proprietary aggregation service.

This technology equips clients with an up-to-date financial picture of assets including stocks and bonds, artwork and frequent flier miles, the group said in a statement.

Commerce Bank Chairman Vernon Hill said: "Moving Virtual Private Bank onto customers' Blackberries and other mobile PDA devices was the next logical step for Commerce, giving high net worth customer's instant access to their private banking information and important data from poolside, in their cars or on the golf course."

Headquartered in New Jersey, Commerce Bancorp has $47.4 billion in assets in 400 locations in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Florida.
