Orion Advisor Services has teamed up with FutureVault to help clients deposit, store and manage vital documents - services highlighted as critical at a time of widespread concerns about privacy and security of information.

Orion Advisor Services, the portfolio accounting service provider for financial advisors, has integrated with FutureVault, which is an information management platform.

The integration means that Orion advisors can offer clients FutureVault’s Digital Collaborative Vault to securely deposit, store and manage important financial, legal and personal documents. FutureVault can, a statement from the firms said yesterday, to help improve the sharing and fiduciary tracking of essential documents between Orion advisors and clients in addition to a client’s external network of trusted advisors.

FutureVault will be integrated into Orion’s extensive portfolio of financial advisor solutions. Standout features of the Digital Collaborative Vault include bank-grade security and privacy, optical character recognition with smart-filing technology, pre-configured digital filing cabinet with an infrastructure for folders, documents and document forms.

FutureVault has just marked its first anniversary, having been launched last year by Toronto-based venture capitalist and technology entrepreneur G Scott Paterson. The organization lets users to digitally deposit, store and manage important financial, legal and personal documents through a cloud-based platform.
