UK Subsidiary Of BNY Mellon Strengthens Private Client Team With New Hire

London-based Newton, a subsidiary of BNY Mellon Asset Management, has bolstered its private client team with the hire of Clare Huijnen as an investment manager.

Huijnen joins from HSBC Private Bank, where she had been part of the investment counsellor team since 2010. Before that, she worked at Switzerland's Clariden Leu in the portfolio management unit for more than a decade.

She will now report to Caroline Mair, head of international private clients at Newton. Mair said in a statement that the firm has expanded its private client business over the past two years.

Separately, the company hired Sebastien Poulin as a high yield analyst in the global fixed income team earlier this month.

Newton manages client assets amounting to £45.9 billion ($72.1 billion).
